Job Description

We are seeking an IT Security Specialist to join our Sunderland team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring security measures to safeguard our IT infrastructure and sensitive data. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity practices and a passion for keeping systems secure.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls across the enterprise.
• Collaborate on the development of secure system architectures.
• Provide expert guidance on security best practices to staff.
• Conduct training sessions to enhance cybersecurity awareness across the organisation.
• Monitor compliance with security policies and standards.
• Evaluate potential internal and external threats to system security.
• Provide assistance in incident management and resolution processes.
• Prepare detailed reports on security measures and incidents.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security or a related field
• Master's degree is preferable

Experience

• 5+ years in roles related to cybersecurity and information security

• CISM
• AWS Certified Security – Specialty

Languages

• English: Fluent
