Job Description

As a Security Specialist in Sunderland, your primary focus will be to manage information security risks and ensure the integrity of our IT systems. This role demands a proactive approach to identifying threats and a strong commitment to maintaining high security standards.

Responsibilities

• Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities across systems.
• Implement and maintain firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
• Assist in the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Evaluate and recommend security products and tools.
• Prepare reports on security incidents and measures taken.
• Provide guidance on security compliance audits.
• Work with external agencies to ensure security requirements are met.
• Conduct risk assessments to ensure data integrity.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security or related field
• Relevant professional certifications (CISSP or equivalent) preferred

Experience

• 3+ years in IT Security with specific knowledge of security frameworks
