Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Tax Consultant to join our Birmingham office. In this role, you will provide expert tax advice, handle various tax matters for clients, and ensure compliance with UK tax regulations. You should possess strong analytical skills and be comfortable working closely with clients to understand their tax positions and provide tailored advice.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring accurate tax reporting.
• Foster a commitment to high-quality service in tax consultancy.
• Advise clients on VAT, corporation tax, and income tax matters.
• Help clients improve their tax positions through strategic advice.
• Liaise with HMRC and other authorities as required.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
• Master's degree or equivalent is advantageous

Experience

• 4+ years of practical experience in taxation

Technical Skills

• Tax Compliance Software
• Financial Analysis

• Client Relationship Management
• Attention to Detail

Certifications

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW)

Languages

• English: Fluent
