Job Description

We are searching for a skilled Systems Administrator to join our energetic team in Southampton. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of various systems and servers while ensuring effective performance and security protocols are adhered to. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling them to troubleshoot issues swiftly and efficiently while ensuring our IT infrastructure operates optimally.

Responsibilities

  • Manage server operations to ensure minimal downtime and high availability.
  • Evaluate hardware and software solutions to meet the organization's needs.
  • Implement best practices for data storage, backup, and retrieval.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize system functionality.
  • Respond to and manage user IT support requests in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of system configurations and procedures.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent
  • Advanced certifications in systems administration (e.g., MCSE, CCNA)
Experience
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in IT administration
