Job Description

We are searching for a skilled Systems Administrator to join our energetic team in Southampton. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of various systems and servers while ensuring effective performance and security protocols are adhered to. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling them to troubleshoot issues swiftly and efficiently while ensuring our IT infrastructure operates optimally.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers and software.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Implement and manage security protocols to safeguard sensitive data.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users across the organization.
  • Document configuration changes and operational procedures.
  • Assist in network management and ensure robust connectivity.
  • Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery setups.
  • Keep software at optimal performance by applying updates and patches.
  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware and software procurement.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco) are advantageous

  • 3+ years of experience in systems administration or IT support
