Job Description
As a Foster Care Social Worker, you will provide crucial support and guidance to children and families within the foster care system, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Responsibilities
Work closely with biological parents to facilitate reunification when appropriate.
Attend court hearings and provide testimony when required.
Facilitate training and support sessions for foster families.
Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and on time.
Develop and implement individual care plans for children in foster care.
Act as a liaison between various stakeholders, including social services and educational institutions.
Advantageous
Experience with child protection laws and procedures: Understanding of legal frameworks that protect children in foster care.
Ability to speak a second language: Fluency in another language is beneficial in communicating with diverse families.
