Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to join our expanding team in Luton. The successful candidate will have experience in treating both domestic and farm animals and will be responsible for providing high-quality veterinary care, including surgical procedures and consultations.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough examinations and treat medical conditions.
• Undertake surgical interventions as required.
• Maintain a clean and organised clinic environment.
• Advise clients on preventative care and nutrition.
• Document patient histories and treatments accurately.
• Support the training of junior veterinary staff.
• Participate in ongoing professional education.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding animal care.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Veterinary Medicine
• Postgraduate qualifications preferred

Experience

• At least 3 years working in a veterinary setting

• Emergency Care
• Anesthesia Management

Certifications

• Certification in Advanced Veterinary Practices
• CPD Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in teaching or mentoring junior staff: Ability to guide and train less experienced veterinary personnel.
