Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Underwater Photographer to join our team. You will be tasked with capturing breathtaking images of marine environments and ensuring their stories contribute to marine conservation efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct underwater shoots while ensuring personal and equipment safety.
  • Deliver high-resolution images for various media formats.
  • Assist in the development of conservation projects through visual documentation.
  • Work closely with team members to strategise project needs and outcomes.
  • Create a visual archive of underwater images that can be used for educational purposes.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on underwater equipment.
  • Explore new techniques to innovate and elevate our photography standards.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Photography, Marine Biology, or related field (preferred)
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in underwater photography or related field
Technical Skills
  • Marine Ecosystem Knowledge
  • Swimming Skills

Advantageous

  • Experience with marine conservation projects: Work on initiatives to protect marine environments.
  • Familiarity with scientific research methodologies: Experience working on projects with marine scientists.
