Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Browner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the perfect hue, shade, and texture of tanned leather by applying various chemical agents and techniques. Your keen eye for detail will be essential in maintaining quality throughout the tanning process.

Responsibilities

• Develop precise chemical mixtures for leather treatment.
• Regularly maintain and troubleshoot tanning equipment.
• Conduct thorough inspections of leather products for quality control.
• Document all procedures and materials in production logs.
• Engage with the production team to overcome technical challenges.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols regarding chemical handling.
• Advise on best practices for improved process efficiency.
• Assist in training new staff on machinery and techniques.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relevant vocational training or certification in leather tanning preferred

Experience

• 2-3 years of experience in leather tanning or a related field.

Technical Skills

• Understanding of chemical properties
• Machinery operation

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with automated tanning machinery: Hands-on experience operating advanced tanning machinery.
