Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Lathe and Turning Machine Tool Setter, Operator, and Tender to join our dynamic manufacturing team. You will be responsible for the setup and operation of lathes and turning machines, ensuring that production specifications and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathes and manual turning machines effectively and efficiently.
• Ensure that components meet quality standards and specifications.
• Record production data and report on performance metrics.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
• Provide feedback on machine performance and recommend improvements.
• Adhere to all environmental and safety regulations during operations.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• NVQ Level 2 in Engineering or relevant qualification is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a machining or manufacturing role

Technical Skills

• Precision machining
• Tooling setup
• CNC operation

Soft Skills

• Analytical skills
• Communication skills

Certifications

• Machine Tool Technology Certification
• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Previous experience in a supervisory role: Experience in leading a small team of machine operators.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing Principles: Knowledge of Lean practices to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
