Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Underwriting Clerks Supervisor to oversee a team of underwriting clerks and ensure the smooth running of the underwriting process. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the underwriting team, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Assist in the development of underwriting strategies and risk assessments.
  • Evaluate team performance using established metrics.
  • Foster a positive team environment to enhance productivity.
  • Act as a liaison between the underwriting department and upper management.
  • Provide insights on client feedback to improve processes.
  • Facilitate team meetings and training to enhance skills.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Report on underwriting trends and team efficiencies.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Professional certification in insurance is an advantage

  • 5+ years of experience in the insurance underwriting sector
