Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Pastry Chef Trainer to join our dynamic team in Harlow. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge in pastry arts, a passion for teaching, and a flair for creativity. This role involves delivering hands-on training to aspiring chefs, developing innovative pastry recipes, and ensuring the highest standards in our culinary practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead practical pastry workshops, demonstrating techniques and engaging students in hands-on learning.
  • Develop assessment criteria to evaluate student progress and competency.
  • Foster a positive learning environment, encouraging questions and peer collaboration.
  • Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and equipment, ensuring efficient operation.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of culinary events and community outreach programs.
  • Integrate seasonal ingredients into lesson plans for relevance and inspiration.
  • Provide career guidance and support to students pursuing opportunities in culinary arts.
  • Promote an ethos of creativity and innovation within the pastry curriculum.

Requirements

Education
  • Culinary Arts diploma or equivalent
  • Higher National Diploma (HND) in Culinary Arts is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years in professional pastry kitchens and a passion for teaching
