We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Underwriter to join our team in Bristol. In this pivotal role, you will assess risks and determine appropriate insurance coverage for our clients. Your analytical skills will be instrumental in evaluating applications and making decisions that align with company policies and goals.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough assessments of applications and claims.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and external regulations.
• Testify in court when necessary regarding underwriting practices.
• Utilize data analysis tools to evaluate risk factors associated with applications.
• Work closely with actuaries and other professionals to align underwriting practices with business objectives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related discipline
• Underwriting professional qualification is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in underwriting or a related insurance role

• Risk Management

Certifications

• Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (FCII)

Languages

• English: Fluent
