Chemical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Chemical Engineer to be part of our innovative team in Aberdeen. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in chemical process design and development. You will be responsible for evaluating existing processes and implementing improvements to enhance productivity and safety.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and select appropriate equipment for chemical processes.
• Work with procurement to source chemicals and materials.
• Implement sustainability initiatives within chemical processes.
• Assist in scaling up laboratory processes to production levels.
• Evaluate and improve existing processes for better yield.
• Document all engineering changes and maintain comprehensive records.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline
• Postgraduate qualifications in Process Engineering preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in a chemical engineering role

Technical Skills

• Chemical Reaction Engineering
• Equipment Design and Specification

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving

Certifications

• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor
• HNC/HND in Chemical Engineering

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Process Control Systems: Understanding of PID controllers and process control measures.
• Experience with CAD Software: Familiarity with CAD tools for equipment design.
