Environmental Remediation Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Environmental Remediation Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will take charge of assessing contaminated sites and developing effective remediation strategies. You’ll work closely with a variety of stakeholders to ensure environmental safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify environmental hazards.
• Develop and execute remediation plans tailored to specific sites.
• Collaborate with contractors and regulatory agencies.
• Document project progress and results in technical reports.
• Train junior staff on environmental assessment and remediation techniques.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or related field
• Master's degree in a related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in environmental remediation projects

Technical Skills

• CAD (Computer-Aided Design)
• Environmental assessment software

Soft Skills

• Analytical thinking
• Team leadership

Certifications

• Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)
• Certified Environmental Specialist (CES)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with environmental assessment software: Proficiency in tools used for environmental assessments.
• Master's degree in Environmental Science or related field: Higher education level may be an advantage.
