Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Film Historian to join our team. You will conduct extensive research on cinema's evolution, document findings, and present insights that contribute to film preservation efforts. Your expertise will help in curating exhibitions and enhancing educational programs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed film analysis to contextualise cinematic works within their historical and cultural frameworks.
  • Document research results for internal archives and external publications.
  • Collaborate with curators and educators on film-related projects.
  • Engage with community groups to promote film culture and history.
  • Use archival databases and software to maintain accurate records of findings.
  • Present research findings at conferences and seminars.
  • Organize workshops and seminars on film history topics.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Film Studies or a related field
  • Master's degree in Film Studies or related field is advantageous
Experience
