Interior Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Interior Designer to join our team in Exeter. The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects, from residential homes to commercial spaces, bringing creativity and design expertise to every project. You'll be responsible for conceptualising ideas, selecting furnishings, and ensuring that designs meet client specifications.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to gather requirements and feedback.
• Design and present artistic and functional concepts.
• Coordinate with suppliers for sourcing materials and furnishings.
• Ensure projects adhere to timelines and budgets.
• Conduct follow-ups post-installation for client satisfaction.
• Mentor junior designers within the team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Design or Architecture
• Additional design certifications are a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in residential or commercial interior design

Technical Skills

• Interior Design Software (e.g., Revit, 3ds Max)
• Project Management Tools (e.g., Asana, Trello)

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Adaptability

Certifications

• LEED AP Certification
• Certified Interior Decorator (CID)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in project bidding and client negotiation: Experience in preparing project bids and negotiating contracts with clients.
• Knowledge of lighting design principles: Understanding the principles of effective lighting in interior spaces.
