Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Animal Care Specialist to join our Basildon team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily care and management of various animal species, ensuring their health, safety, and overall well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the feeding and maintenance routines for various animal species.
  • Conduct regular health assessments and report findings to supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate logs of animal nutrition and medication schedules.
  • Assist with animal rehabilitation and training programs.
  • Foster a safe and welcoming environment for both animals and visitors.
  • Collaborate with the animal behaviour team to address specific needs.
  • Support emergency procedures during incidents involving animals.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine or related field
  • Experience in wildlife rehabilitation is an advantage
Experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in animal care or veterinary assistance
