Kennel Aide

Job Description

We are seeking a Kennel Aide to join our team at ABC Kennels in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of our furry guests by providing exceptional care, including feeding, grooming, and administering medications as required.

Responsibilities

• Care for dogs by performing routine feeding, watering, and cleaning tasks.
• Ensure dogs receive adequate exercise and playtime.
• Maintain cleanliness in the kennel and surrounding areas.
• Provide comfort and companionship to the dogs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document health observations and behavior changes.
• Collaborate with the kennel manager and staff in daily operations.
• Uphold high standards of animal welfare and safety.
• Engage with pet owners in a friendly and informative manner.
• Contribute ideas to enhance the overall kennel environment.

Requirements

Education

• Animal Care Qualification such as Level 2 Certificate in Animal Care

Experience

• Demonstrated experience in an animal care role preferred.

Technical Skills

• First Aid for Animals

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of animal behavior: Understanding of canine body language and behavior.
