Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the sous chef and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Implement food storage and rotation practices to minimize waste.
  • Present dishes to ensure they are visually appealing to guests.
  • Keep up-to-date with culinary trends and best practices to enhance the menu.
  • Monitor cooking equipment to ensure proper functioning and hygiene.
  • Help maintain a safe and productive kitchen environment.
  • Engage in regular training and development opportunities to enhance skills.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions to the head chef immediately.
  • Support team efforts to deliver an outstanding dining experience.

Requirements

Education
  • Culinary Arts Diploma
  • Advanced Food Hygiene Certificate
Experience
  • Experience working in a busy kitchen, preferably in a high-volume environment.
