Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Engineer to join our team in Rochdale. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in civil engineering and be responsible for overseeing various construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise construction activities on-site.
• Ensure all work is performed to the highest quality and safety standards.
• Review and approve project documentation and change orders.
• Assist in the procurement of materials and resources.
• Collaborate with design teams to ensure project feasibility.
• Implement quality control procedures throughout the construction phase.
• Facilitate communication between all parties involved in the project.
• Lead project review meetings to discuss progress and issues.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Master's degree in related field is advantageous

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in construction project management

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Building Regulations Knowledge

Soft Skills

• Negotiation Skills
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) Membership
• LEED Accredited Professional

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in multi-disciplinary projects: Proven experience working on projects that involve architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
• Knowledge of cost estimation best practices: Experience in developing accurate cost estimates and budgets.
