Job Description

As a Tax Consultant in our York office, you will play a pivotal role in assisting public sector clients with tax compliance, reporting, and strategy. Your expertise will support government agencies in meeting their tax obligations while optimizing their fiscal operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage client portfolios and ensure tax compliance.
• Conduct regular meetings with clients to discuss tax strategies.
• Develop comprehensive tax planning strategies for public sector entities.
• Assist clients in understanding complex tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Present tax proposals and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Monitor and report on developments in tax legislation.
• Assist in the preparation of responses to tax inquiries from authorities.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of current tax strategies and propose adjustments.
• Lead projects aimed at improving tax efficiency and compliance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Taxation or a related field
• MBA or relevant postgraduate qualifications are advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a tax-related role within public administration
