Job Description

As a Data Privacy Officer, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding sensitive information and ensuring organisational compliance with data protection legislation. This position involves developing data policies, conducting audits, and facilitating training to enhance our staff's understanding of data privacy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all data processing activities are documented and compliant with legislation.
• Review and update privacy notices and policies, ensuring they are accessible and user-friendly.
• Manage data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) for new projects and initiatives.
• Engage with third-party vendors to ensure their data handling practices align with our standards.
• Monitor data subject rights requests and ensure timely responses.
• Conduct training and awareness sessions on data privacy for all staff.
• Collaborate with legal teams to address compliance issues and implement best practices.
• Advise on the handling of data breaches and coordinate responses as necessary.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• A postgraduate qualification in Data Compliance is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in data governance or a similar role
