Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Pharmacist to join our Technical Support team in Peterborough. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of pharmaceutical practices and a passion for helping patients effectively manage their health. You will play a crucial role in addressing and resolving medication-related inquiries, ensuring our clients receive top-notch support and guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients in understanding their medications and any potential interactions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient medication therapies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the pharmacy department.
  • Respond to drug utilization reviews and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain pharmaceutical supplies and ensure the integrity of stored drugs.
  • Conduct follow-up calls with patients regarding their satisfaction and medication management.
  • Develop and deliver educational materials for patients on medication safety.
  • Participate in health promotion activities within the community.

Requirements

Education
  • Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution
  • PhD in Pharmacy is advantageous
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience in a clinical or community setting
