Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Alternative Fuel Vehicle Maintenance Technician (AFV Maintenance Tech) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing alternative fuel vehicles, including electric, hybrid, and hydrogen-powered vehicles. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular diagnostics using specialised equipment and software.
• Manage the inventory of parts and ensure availability for timely repairs.
• Assist in the training of junior technicians on alternative fuel vehicle systems.
• Implement maintenance schedules for preventive care on vehicles.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers and suppliers.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss ongoing projects and issues.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to vehicle maintenance.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant vocational or technical qualifications in automotive maintenance or engineering
• Certifications in alternative fuel vehicle maintenance and repair

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive maintenance, with a focus on alternative fuel vehicles

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of electric and hybrid vehicle systems
