Job Description

We are seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our team in Edinburgh. In this role, you will analyse complex datasets, build predictive models, and contribute to data-driven decision making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistics and programming, with a passion for data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead data science projects from conception through execution.
• Engage in exploratory data analysis to identify business opportunities.
• Work closely with IT to enhance data collection and integration processes.
• Mentor junior team members in best practices and data methodologies.
• Facilitate workshops to promote data-driven culture within the organisation.
• Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies for data analysis.
• Analyse the results of experiments and iterate for improved results.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Master's degree in Data Analytics or related discipline is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years in a similar role, with a strong portfolio of projects
