Job Description

As a Production Planner, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing operations in Derry. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate production schedules and manage supply chain processes to ensure efficient workflow. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and logistics, with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed production plans outlining timelines, resources, and equipment needed.
  • Work closely with suppliers to address delays and ensure continuous supply of materials.
  • Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed during the production process.
  • Prepare reports for management on production efficiency and areas for improvement.
  • Assist in identifying training needs for staff related to production processes.
  • Balance production workload across multiple production lines.
  • Review work orders and make adjustments to schedules based on production variances.
  • Lead regular production meetings to align teams and address challenges.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices in production planning.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a Master's degree is a plus
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in production planning, preferably in the manufacturing sector
