Job Description

We are on the lookout for a talented Architectural Designer to join our vibrant team in Ipswich. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of creativity and practical problem-solving skills, coupled with experience in designing residential and commercial buildings. You will work closely with our clients to understand their vision and translate it into innovative architectural solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Draft architectural designs and present them to clients for approval.
  • Utilise various software tools to create and modify project drawings.
  • Ensure that all designs are environmentally sustainable and energy-efficient.
  • Conduct research on building materials and construction methods.
  • Facilitate workshops and brainstorming sessions with clients to refine design concepts.
  • Collaborate with planning departments to secure necessary permissions.
  • Maintain project documentation and records throughout the design process.
  • Assist in the preparation of marketing materials and project portfolios.
  • Evaluate designs through simulations and modelling techniques.
  • Engage with industry professionals to enhance knowledge and share best practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
  • Postgraduate qualification in Architecture preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years in architectural design with a focus on sustainable practices

  • Chartered Status (RIBA)
