Job Description

We are on the lookout for a highly skilled Chief Design Drafter to lead our design drafting team. This position entails supervising the production of precise technical drawings and collaborating with engineers and architects to ensure compliance with project requirements and design standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire design drafting process to ensure that all specifications and regulations are met.
  • Lead the efforts to develop standards and protocols for design drafting.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level drafters, providing training and support in technical skills.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to foster collaboration and efficiency.
  • Audit technical documentation for accuracy and recommend improvements.
  • Actively participate in design project meetings to offer insights and solutions.
  • Utilize CAD software, including AutoCAD and SolidWorks, for high-quality design outputs.
  • Stay abreast of new tools and technologies in the design drafting field to enhance productivity.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Review project deliverables and provide recommendations to enhance quality.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in design drafting, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
