Job Description

We are actively seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join our Brighton office. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that require innovative design and expert engineering principles. You will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity of various projects, from conceptual design through to construction.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement structural solutions for buildings and other structures.
  • Collaborate with project teams to define objectives and project scope.
  • Ensure structural integrity through calculations and analysis.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of design changes and approvals.
  • Conduct risk assessments and feasibility studies.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to engineering standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to keep abreast of industry advancements.
  • Assist with project budgeting and cost estimation.
  • Prepare presentations for stakeholders and clients.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience in structural engineering
Technical Skills
  • SAP2000
  • STAAD Pro
Soft Skills
  • Problem-solving
  • Teamwork
Certifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification
  • LEED Accredited Professional is a plus
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Experience with project management tools: Proficiency in tools like Primavera or MS Project.
  • Understanding of geotechnical engineering principles: Basic understanding of soil mechanics and geotechnical design.
