Job Description

As a Hotel Receptionist, you will be the face of our hotel, providing exceptional customer service to guests. You'll manage front desk operations, greet visitors, handle reservations, and ensure that every guest has a memorable stay.

Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for guests, providing a warm welcome.
  • Handle the check-in and check-out procedures smoothly.
  • Answer queries via phone and in person, providing local knowledge.
  • Keep accurate records and manage payment processing.
  • Offer assistance with luggage and ensure guest comfort.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure guest needs are met.
  • Maintain security and confidentiality of guest information.
  • Upsell hotel services and amenities when appropriate.
  • Manage lost and found items efficiently.
  • Gather guest feedback to improve service.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma in hospitality or related field
Experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in a hotel or similar environment
Technical Skills
  • Familiarity with hotel management software
  • Multi-line phone systems
Soft Skills
  • Problem-solving
  • Time management
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Previous experience in a luxury hotel: Experience working in a high-end hospitality environment.
  • Knowledge of local attractions: Ability to provide recommendations for guests visiting Bristol.
