Job Description

The Cardiac Care Unit Nurse (CCU Nurse) plays a vital role in caring for critically ill patients with cardiac issues. Working closely with other healthcare professionals, you will deliver exceptional patient care and ensure their safety, comfort, and emotional support.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for patients with cardiac conditions.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and communicate abnormalities to the healthcare team.
  • Administer IV therapies and medications accurately while observing for side effects.
  • Support the healthcare team in decision-making regarding patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families about cardiac conditions and care plans.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control standards and maintain cleanliness.
  • Participate in monthly training and development sessions to enhance skills.
  • Contribute to team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment outcomes.
  • Documentation and auditing of medication administration and patient status.
  • Actively engage in personal professional development and continuous learning.

Requirements

Education
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the UK
  • Postgraduate qualification in related nursing field preferred
Experience
  • At least two years in intensive care or cardiac nursing preferred
