Job Description

Join us as a Costume Attendant, where you will be responsible for overseeing the costume shop's daily operations, ensuring timely delivery and maintenance of costumes for our productions, while collaborating closely with designers and actors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of costume production, from sourcing to fitting and maintenance.
• Collaborate with designers to understand the creative vision and execute it through costumes.
• Communicate effectively with actors regarding costume specifications.
• Create budgets for costumes and manage the procurement process accurately.
• Ensure the costume shop's workspace is organised and safe.
• Stay current with trends and materials in the costume industry.
• Assist with special projects and events as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant degree or diploma in costume design, performing arts, or fashion would be advantageous.

Experience

• Proven experience in a costume shop environment preferred.

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Ability to create patterns and sew costumes from scratch.: Skilled in drafting and sewing costumes based on original designs.
