Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Sheffield. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mechanical design and analysis, with hands-on experience in project management and product development.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tests on prototypes and existing products to ensure performance and reliability.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source components and materials.
• Develop and maintain project documentation throughout the lifecycle.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to on site.
• Assist with training and onboarding of new engineering staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design and analysis

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Prototyping Techniques

Soft Skills

• Analytical Skills
• Leadership

Certifications

• Certified Engineering Technician (CET)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in Aerospace or Automotive Engineering: Hands-on experience in designing components for aerospace or automotive applications.
• Knowledge of ISO Standards: Understanding of ISO standards relevant to mechanical engineering.
