Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Remote Sensing Technician to join our outstanding team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining remote sensing equipment, processing aerial data, and assisting in the analysis of geographic information systems (GIS). The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a passion for geospatial technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis on remote sensing data to identify key patterns and trends.
  • Assist in producing high-resolution geographic data products.
  • Work collaboratively with other technical teams to enhance data applications.
  • Participate in field operations as needed for data collection.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and practices.
  • Assist in the development of new applications for remote sensing technology.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Remote Sensing, Geography, or Environmental Science
  • Relevant Certifications (e.g., GIS or Remote Sensing)
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in remote sensing or related field
Technical Skills
  • Remote Sensing Analysis
  • Programming Languages (Python, R)
Soft Skills
  • Problem Solving
Certifications
  • GIS Certification from a recognised institution
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Experience with Machine Learning Applications: Knowledge of machine learning techniques for data analysis.
  • Experience in Environmental Monitoring: Familiarity with applications of remote sensing in environmental studies.
