Job Description

We are searching for a Cybersecurity Engineer to enhance our security framework in Sunderland. This role focuses on implementing security measures, monitoring threats, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation of security measures and protocols.
• Analyse and respond to security incidents effectively.
• Work with external vendors to improve security systems.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and advise on security strategies.
• Document security policies and maintain records of security incidents.
• Work closely with compliance teams to ensure data protection regulations are met.
• Assist in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Engage in regular security audits and assessments.
• Collaborate with software developers to enhance application security.
• Advise on hardware and software requirements for security purposes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Cybersecurity
• Relevant industry certifications preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience managing information security risks
