Job Description

We are looking for a Kitchen Helper who will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen team in a busy restaurant environment. This position involves assisting the chefs with food preparation, ensuring proper cleanliness, and maintaining efficient operations. The ideal candidate is motivated, organised, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to food preparation and presentation as directed by the chefs.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of kitchen areas at all times.
• Assist in the washing and storage of dishes and kitchen equipment.
• Prepare and set up food items prior to service.
• Follow strict food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
• Participate in stocktaking and managing kitchen supplies.
• Provide support during service to the front of house as needed.
• Engage in staff training programs to improve kitchen skills.

Advantageous

• Familiarity with kitchen equipment: Understanding of how to safely handle kitchen appliances and tools.
• Previous experience in food service: Background in restaurant or catering services.
