Job Description

We are seeking skilled Textile Knitting and Weaving Machine Operators to join our dynamic team in Manchester. The successful candidates will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining weaving machines, ensuring quality standards and efficiency in the production process.

Responsibilities

• Operate and adjust weaving machines for various fabric types.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards throughout the production process.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure machines operate at peak performance.
• Compile production reports and document machine settings.
• Assist in troubleshooting machine failures and implementing effective solutions.
• Work closely with production supervisors to meet scheduling demands.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production goals and challenges.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical qualifications in textile manufacturing are an advantage

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in textile production or machine operation.

Technical Skills

• Weaving machine operation
• Quality control processes

Soft Skills

• Time management
• Adaptability

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in quality assurance: Background in quality assurance roles within a manufacturing setting.
• Mentorship capability: Ability to guide and train newer operators in machine handling.
