Job Description
We are looking for a knowledgeable Film Historian to join our passionate team. In this role, you will conduct research, analyse the cultural significance of films, and contribute to the preservation of film heritage.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive analyses of cinema's impact on society and culture.
Write and produce in-depth historical documentaries or publications.
Organise and facilitate workshops, panels, and screenings.
Work with various stakeholders to ensure preservation of film archives.
Engage in policy advocacy for film preservation initiatives.
Build networks with other historians, archivists, and researchers.
Maintain accurate historical records and databases.
Present findings at conferences and public forums.
Utilise digital tools for archival research and documentation.
Foster connections to enhance collaborations and partnerships.
Requirements
Education
Master's degree in Film Studies, History, or a related field is preferred
Experience
3+ years in archival, curatorial, or research roles related to film
