Job Description

As a Thoracic Surgeon, you will perform advanced surgical procedures related to the chest, including the treatment of lung and esophageal conditions. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients requiring thoracic surgery.
  • Utilize advanced imaging techniques to guide surgical interventions.
  • Develop tailored treatment plans considering individual patient needs.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary team discussions to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Monitor and manage post-operative complications as they arise.
  • Implement evidence-based practices in surgical techniques.
  • Lead clinical meetings and educational sessions.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills in emergency surgical situations.
  • Assist in the procurement and maintenance of surgical instruments.
  • Contribute to patient safety protocols and initiatives.

Requirements

Education
  • Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent)
  • Membership with relevant professional bodies, e.g., Royal College of Surgeons.
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience with demonstrated surgical proficiency.
