Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Sheffield team. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement mechanical systems, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, model, and evaluate mechanical systems and components.
• Perform calculations to justify design decisions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for product development.
• Oversee manufacturing processes and quality assurance.
• Ensure adherence to technical specifications and standards.
• Mentor and guide junior engineering staff.
• Conduct risk assessments and mitigate potential issues.
• Stay updated with the latest engineering technologies and trends.
• Develop thorough documentation for designs and changes.
• Assist in budget management and resource allocation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master's degree in Engineering Management is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Manufacturing Processes

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)

Languages

• English: Fluent
