As a Gem Technician at Luxury Jewellers Ltd., you'll take centre stage in the art of gemstone enhancement. Your expertise will drive the quality of our products as you examine, cut, and polish precious stones, ensuring they meet the high standards our clients expect.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and grade gemstones according to industry standards.
• Assist in the design of new jewellery pieces, ensuring high-quality integration of gems.
• Conduct routine maintenance on gem-cutting equipment.
• Provide technical support to junior team members.
• Research and implement new techniques in gemstone processing.
• Implement health and safety measures in the workspace.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Deeper training or certification in gem cutting and polishing preferred

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in gem cutting and polishing

Technical Skills

• Gemstone properties knowledge
• Gem cutting tools proficiency
• Inventory management software

Languages

• English: Fluent
