We are seeking a Bioinformatics Support Specialist to work alongside our dedicated bioinformatics team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing technical support for ongoing research projects by analysing and interpreting extensive datasets. Proficiency in bioinformatics tools and strong analytical skills are essential for this position.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support across various research projects involving bioinformatics.
• Assist in the analysis and interpretation of genomic data.
• Maintain and troubleshoot bioinformatics software and tools.
• Train users on bioinformatics systems and processes.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy in analyses to support research.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to aid project integration.
• Participate in the development of new bioinformatics applications.
• Monitor developments in the field and integrate necessary tools into workflows.

Requirements

Education

• BSc in Bioinformatics or related field
• PhD highly desirable

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in bioinformatics and data analysis

Technical Skills

• NGS data analysis

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with bioinformatics software tools: Familiarity with tools like BLAST, Bowtie, and GATK.
