Quality Control Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Quality Control Engineer to join our dedicated team in Sheffield. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our manufacturing processes meet the highest quality standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify quality issues and implement effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality assurance testing of finished products.
• Identify areas for quality enhancement and implement solutions.
• Maintain the testing laboratory and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Act as a liaison between manufacturing and quality assurance teams.
• Track and report on key quality indicators and performance metrics.
• Provide insights for process improvements to reduce defects and waste.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in quality control or assurance

Technical Skills

• Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
• Lean Manufacturing

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Leadership

Certifications

• Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with data analysis tools: Proficient in using tools such as Excel and Minitab for analysis.
• ISO 13485 Certification: Knowledge of ISO standards relevant to medical device manufacturing.
