We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Underwriter to join our esteemed team in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will evaluate insurance applications, assess risk, and determine appropriate coverage terms to ensure client satisfaction while protecting the company’s interests.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of risks associated with insurance applications.
• Provide expert advice on coverage options and underwriting standards.
• Prepare and present underwriting submissions and recommendations for review.
• Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, brokers, and agents.
• Monitor market conditions to identify new opportunities for insurance products.
• Assist in the training and development of junior underwriters.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role

• CII Diploma (Chartered Insurance Institute)
