Job Description
We are seeking an Opticianry Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will develop and deliver engaging courses for students pursuing careers in opticianry, utilising modern teaching techniques and supporting student learning.
Responsibilities
Develop innovative teaching strategies to improve student engagement.
Evaluate and update curriculum and course content as necessary.
Conduct practical sessions in opticianry techniques.
Mentor students to develop their professional skills and confidence.
Encourage student participation in academic discussions.
Utilise technology and learning management systems for teaching.
Facilitate workshops and seminars for additional learning opportunities.
Monitor student progress and offer academic support where needed.
Engage with external stakeholders to enhance programme offerings.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and academic excellence.
Requirements
Education
Master's degree in Opticianry or related field
PhD in Optometry or related field is an advantage
Experience
3+ years of experience teaching opticianry in higher education settings.
