Sustainability Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Sustainability Officer to spearhead our environmental initiatives in Leicester. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring sustainability programs that ensure compliance with environmental regulations and inspire ecological responsibility across the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the organisation's sustainability strategy.
• Facilitate the integration of sustainability into business operations.
• Conduct regular reviews of sustainability goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance sustainable practices.
• Manage external communications regarding sustainability initiatives and results.
• Monitor key performance indicators related to sustainability.
• Coordinate with suppliers and partners to improve sustainability in the supply chain.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies or related field
• Master's degree in a relevant field preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in sustainability and environmental management

• Climate Change Mitigation
• Sustainability Programme Development

• Team Leadership
• Problem-Solving

Certifications

• Certified Environmental Professional (CEP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
