Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mining Engineer to join our Newcastle team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing mining plans, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental standards, while optimising resource extraction. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, a background in geology, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate mining methods and processes for optimal efficiency.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of technical staff and teams.
• Perform feasibility studies and prepare reports for management.
• Participate in the planning and development of new projects.
• Evaluate geological data and assess potential mining sites.
• Provide technical support to field operations.
• Ensure that all mining activities are conducted in a safe manner.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure compliance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5 years of experience in the mining sector
