Sustainability Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sustainability Manager to lead our sustainability initiatives in Manchester. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance our environmental performance and promote sustainable practices throughout the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Establish sustainability goals and objectives in alignment with corporate strategies.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions on sustainability topics.
• Evaluate supplier practices and drive improvements related to sustainability.
• Communicate sustainability initiatives and achievements to internal and external audiences.
• Collaborate on product lifecycle assessments and waste reduction strategies.
• Manage sustainability budgets and resource allocation effectively.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies or related field
• Postgraduate qualification in Sustainability is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in sustainability-related roles

• Carbon Footprint Analysis
• Stakeholder Engagement

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking
• Leadership

Certifications

• Certified Sustainability Professional (CSP)
• Environmental Management Systems (EMS) Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in sustainability reporting: Proficient in preparing sustainability reports and disclosures.
• Understanding of energy efficiency standards: Knowledge of energy efficiency regulations and standards.
