Gas Fitter Helper

Job Description

We're on the lookout for a dedicated Gas Fitter Helper to join our team in Manchester. This role requires assisting experienced Gas Fitters with the installation, maintenance, and repair of gas appliances. Your attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols will be critical to ensuring the efficiency and safety of our operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation and maintenance of various gas systems.
• Help in performing safety checks and inspections for compliance.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
• Support Gas Fitters in troubleshooting and repair tasks.
• Document work activities and maintain service logs.
• Provide assistance in customer service situations.
• Work collaboratively within the team to meet project deadlines.
• Engage in continual learning on gas safety and system regulations.
• Contribute to a safe working environment.

Requirements

Education

• GCSEs in Maths and English or equivalent qualifications preferred.

Experience

• Experience working with gas systems is desirable but not essential.

Technical Skills

• Familiarity with gas testing equipment
• Basic plumbing skills

Soft Skills

• Reliability
• Problem-solving abilities

Certifications

• Gas Safe Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in a customer service role: Customer-facing experience is preferred.
