Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist (Surgical Tech) to join our dynamic surgical team. The ideal candidate will provide critical support during surgical procedures by preparing and handling instruments, ensuring a sterile environment, and assisting the surgical team as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are ready.
  • Assist surgeons by providing instruments, sutures, and other required items during procedures.
  • Observe and ensure the safety of patients throughout the surgical process.
  • Record patient information and surgical details accurately and efficiently.
  • Sterilize and maintain all surgical tools and equipment in accordance with health regulations.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of junior staff and new surgical technologists.
  • Participate in pre-operative meetings to discuss surgical procedures and patient care.
  • Follow up with surgeons and nurses to review post-operative protocols.

Requirements

Education
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (e.g., CST) is highly desirable
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Surgical Technologist in a surgical setting.
